Tepeyac Hill

The Tepeyac Hill at the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine is a recreation of the hill in Mexico where Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego on Dec. 12, 1531.

The statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe stands around 12 feet tall. The statue of Saint Juan Diego stands around 8 feet tall.

The statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe weighs approx. 4,400 lbs, and the statue of Saint Juan Diego weighs approx. 3,300 lbs.

They are both painted bronze.

Both statues were placed on top of the hill by crane.

The statues were created by Georgina Farías Nicolópulos, an artist from Mexico City, Mexico.
