As the Church around the world joyfully steps into the Jubilee Year of 2025, we invite you, dear friends of the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine, to join us on this remarkable journey of faith and renewal. This Jubilee Year, declared by Pope Francis, is not just a time to reflect and to celebrate, but a call to action as "Pilgrims of Hope."

What is a Jubilee Year?

The tradition of the Jubilee Year stretches back to biblical times and is a profound period of grace, reconciliation, and renewal occurring every 25 years. This holy year invites us all to deepen our spiritual lives through prayer, acts of charity, and pilgrimage. It's a time to return to God with a renewed spirit and embrace His infinite mercy.

Engaging in Jubilee Year 2025

The theme for 2025, "Pilgrims of Hope," calls us to embody hope—a virtue that St. Paul famously stated in Romans as 'hope does not disappoint.' The Jubilee Year is a chance to rekindle this hope, finding strength and joy in our faith.

This year, the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine has been designated as a Jubilee pilgrimage site within the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. This special designation allows our local community and all visitors to engage with the universal joys of the Jubilee year right here in Oklahoma.

All the faithful are encouraged to visit designated Jubilee sites such as ours. By doing so, and by fulfilling the usual spiritual practices—such as attending Mass, receiving the sacraments, and engaging in acts of charity—you can receive a plenary indulgence.
